Miss Tricky Takes Over

I don’t want to freak you guys out, okay I’m lying- I totally, totally want to freak you guys out. I have a secret deep down inside condition that most of you don’t know about. Do not be fooled by my tattooed, black-wearing, combat boot-loving exterior! I am a contradiction in all areas of life and clothing is no exception! I love sweet, girly, soft, summery frocks. I spent a few years in my youth as a tree hugging hippy and it seems that that is the kind of mindset you cannot completely erase. With that in mind (and since it’s been a grip since my last Miss Tricky Shops post) I present to you some nauseatingly feminine dresses I have found recently on Etsy…

The Butterfly dress is about as sweet and romantic as my tastes get but there is just something about it that makes me a little giddy. (p.s. this pic is actually a special order but fear not! you can still order one for yourself, I just liked this picture better)

Do I even have to tell you why I need the Miss Riding Hood dress?!? Come on!

Yellow Snow I am not even sure I would buy but it’s on the list because you can bet your sweet ass I would “borrow” it from a friend and never give it back.

Can someone please buy me the Wear Four Ways dress? Please? Look at it! It is scrumptious and it’s only $45 so I think it wouldn’t be all that hard for one of you to get me and early birthday present. Or you could just get it for yourself. (see Yellow Snow)

I think every girl on the planet should own one of the many variations they offer of the Green is Gold dress. Period.

I can’t remember exactly what they called that darling Soy number but it’s so natural and simple that it makes me want to sit in tall grass and eat watermelon. Considering the fact that I don’t even like watermelon, that is saying alot.

And the little asian-inspired Obi Wrap Dress needs to live in my closet like, now.

Last but not least is the super fab Fringe number that may not be sweet and girly but lordy, lordy do I love it!

I don’t get out very often, and when I do it is rarely a fancy occasion. Nonetheless, this week I bring you Pin-up Girl Clothing! This website (along with Stop Staring- it’s a must!) is full to brimming with delightfully cheeky, retro and reproduction dresses and accessories. As with all sites of this nature some of it gets a little stripper/cheesy but overall there is a lot to love. The best part is that they fit ladies of all sizes and the clothing is made to flatter. I recommend seeking out events just so you have an excuse to shop here.

p.s. I wore the Niagara dress to the Red Ball and no one was disappointed.
