Jaime on food, traffic, and food.

I did not take a picture of myself today, so here.  Have one from yesterday.

too lazy to do anything with my hair today

I was too lazy to do anything with my hair

It’s gross out today, weather wise.  I wouldn’t mind except that I left all the windows at the house wide open.  lolz.  I’m not out in it so I really don’t care what it’s like out there.  Weather is weather, you know?  Why complain about something no one has any control over?

I brought a s’mores pop tarts to work today.  Om nom nom.

There was zero traffic on the way to work today.  Major improvement over yesterday.

I don’t get angry in traffic, because there’s really nothing I can do about it and getting angry over it is dumb.  Especially when I’m just sitting there in my car.  Expressing anger only to myself is lame.  Instead I snicker and giggle at all the angry people around me.  Especially the ones that are two inches from my back bumper, laying on the horn because there’s enough space for two cars in front of me.  Excuse me sir, but it’s not wise to block an intersection!  Do you get some kind of thrill out of blocking traffic on both sides? Jeez.  At least I drive right.  I often hope that other people will take cues from me and watch what they’re doing instead of being hasty and selfish with their driving ways, but I never really expect it.  People are too stupid, I think.  The driving ones, anyway.

I’m thinking about food (as usual).  I’m going to order food, probably Chinese, but I’ll think about it a while longer before I actually do it.

I wish Chen’s delivered.  I hate leaving work to pick up food.  >.<  New China Pavilion has a $15 minimum order for delivery, but there’s this new place I could try that only has a $10 minimum order requirement for delivery.  I have an hour to think about it.

I can’t wait for my mom’s wedding on Friday.  There’s going to be prime rib.  It’s my favorite.

When Walter comes home I’m taking him to get the best prime rib in the universe.  I can’t wait for that either.

I’m impatient.  And hungry.  I don’t even have anything to snack on here except sunflower seeds and those aren’t any bit filling.  I’m not eating my s’mores pop tarts ’cause they’re for later.

I think about food a lot.  Don’t judge me.

*****

I finished watching Dead Like Me last night.  Now I’m going to start watching Doogie Howser, M.D.

That’s right.  Don’t knock it!

I seriously haven’t seen Doogie Howser since like 1992.  Let’s hope this isn’t a FAIL.

Weekend Recap

My weekend activities consisted of the following:

  • playing WoW
  • finishing Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows
  • watching Dr. Quinn with Sarah
  • dinner at my mom’s
  • eating ice cream (surprised?  :D)
  • hanging out with Alli
  • my nephew being sick

And you know what?  The sun came out today.  It’s out.  Google says SHOWERS ALL DAY! but the sky is saying something very different and I like it (not Google lying, the sun actually coming out).  It’s about 76°, sunny and humid and I’m loving it!

Even though it’s business casual at work today.

So yeah.  I played WoW for most of the day on Saturday.  I got from level 14 to level 20 (go me!).  Poor John was sick all day, feverish and throwing up.  Sarah couldn’t get her computer to connect to the Interwebz so she couldn’t play WoW for most of the day.  But she eventually figured it out.  And John was feeling much better by Sunday morning.

Sarah and I have been watching my Dr. Quinn DVDs, and as we watch I’m remembering parts of every episode.  It’s fun.  There are episodes in the later seasons that I haven’t seen, so I can’t wait to watch those either.

All-in-all I like how Harry Potter ended.  It was a marvelous ending to an incredible story.  I stayed up until 3:30 in the morning Saturday night to finish it, and I must say that I cried about Fred Weasley.  I actually cried twice reading the last book.  There was probably at least one point in each of the last three books that I cried.  I’m in love with the series.  Every book.  I’m sad it’s over, but it ended perfectly.  I can’t wait for Half-Blood Prince to come out in theatres.

And this morning I got to talk to Walter!  So I’m smiling.

How was your weekend?  I hope today starts your work week off in a good way (I’m so weird, I love Mondays)!

Tut-tut! It looks like rain!

I really want to keep reading Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix, but the next chapter is 30 pages long and between phone calls I won’t be able to finish the chapter before I go home.  So I’ve put it down for the night.  *le sigh*

It looks like rain tomorrow.  It looks like rain for the next four days in the forecast.  That’s not so bad, it’s only rain.  The only pain is that I have tomorrow off and we’ll be going to my brother’s graduation in the rain.

Maybe the rain will at least motivate me to do the laundry I should have done before I went to Mississippi last week (oops).  I mean, if it’s nice out I definitely won’t want to stay inside and do laundry, will I?  No.  Prolly not.

It’s awfully cold out for mid-June.  Anyone else agree with me?  Is it just me?

I can’t get my mind off Harry Potter.  This book has got me all worked up.  Sometimes I don’t know how Rowling does it; she makes so much go wrong but by the end of the book things are alright again.  I just don’t see how more than half this stuff can get resolved in the next hundred pages, I really don’t.  But I know it will.  SHEESH.

I love the Weasley twins, Fred and George.  They’re brilliant.

That’s all.

Castle.Was.Awesome. And some blathering on about the weather.

I had a really weird dream last night.  Well, two of them really.  In the first one I got to meet Tessa and Nathan (@meekakitty and @simplyethan) and we made YouTube videos together at her house where her mom was really nice, and then Adam (@whataboutadam) came to visit after the sun went down and he was a really reckless driver but didn’t know it and the police arrived after him everywhere we went.  LOL.  Then in my second dream everyone was freezing to death slowly because the world was running out of power and there was nowhere to go and I had to watch everyone dying while I tried my hardest to stay warm and find a way to live.  I couldn’t do it either and died with everyone else.

I always have the weirdest dreams.

I just want to say that Castle was awesome.  Nathan Fillion is still so freaking sexy, and his character Castle is wicked sexy too.  I watched the series premier last night (on The Interwebz, ’cause I don’t gots cable TV) and wow.  I’m rather impressed.  I still feel like it’s just something he’s doing to fill up his time until Firefly comes back to TV.  Don’t judge me!  I know it’s going to.  It has to.  I need it to.  I want it to.  It’s my show.  But Castle was a lot better than I expected it to be.  It’s definitely got staying power for at least one season.  Then can we have Firefly back, please?

I’m ready for spring to really be here, no more of this teasing weather crap.  I’m sick of having head cold after chest cold after head cold after the flu.  I can’t remember the last time my hands were warm and not ice cold.  I’d even take the warm muddy weather over this crap.  It’s like the weather’s got bi-polar disorder and can’t decide how it’s feeling at any given moment.  One minute it’s bright and sunny and the next there’s sleet and snow pelting down.  It’s hot and it’s cold, it’s yes and it’s no (I crack myself up on the inside).  It’s driving me crazy .

Blogging about my feelings (well, writing about them period) makes me feel a little better.  And so do all the positive comments from everyone.  Getting support from people who don’t even know me face to face but still care about me makes me feel a whole heap better even if I can’t show it every time.  I’m not usually as pathetic as I’ve been feeling all week, I swear.  I hope I start to feeling more like my normal self really soon (like yesterday please).  Until then, thank you for sticking around and putting up with my emotional roller coaster lows.

Also, if you didn’t see it yesterday my Passion post was up on the main page of the PQ Nation.  If you haven’t read it, click here.  Passion was the theme of February/March here on the site and we all of us contributors/writers were imposed upon to write a post about the subject.  Just go read mine to see how I felt about it.  It’s not about sex and it’s completely SFW (like everything else I post…).

I didn’t even want to watch more Xena last night after watching Castle.  I just went to bed content with how good Castle ended up being.

I have another dentist appointment today (two in three days, yay) that I have to leave work for, so I hope I don’t need Novocaine or else I won’t be able to work for the rest of the night.

<–  Here’s another picture of Nathan Fillion from the season premier of Castle.  He’s so dreamy.  And just I love him.

What?!! He’s only 12 years older than me.  That’s not gross at all!

If you haven’t watched the series premier yet, to to ABC.com and watch it.  You won’t be disappointed.

Wish me luck on feeling better today, please?
