I LOVE…Fridays!

I LOVE… feeling genuinely happy. Lately I’ve been feeling down, often times like there is nothing to look forward to and I’ll never smile again. Which is a lame feeling. Today I feel happy. I’d like to keep this up, please.
I LOVE… that this week Christina uncovered Bible Fanfiction. BIBLE FANFICTION. Do you understand what that means?
I LOVE… finally wearing pants that fit me. I put it off for far too long, not wanting to acknowledge that I’d never fit into my size 3’s again. I guess this means I’ve accepted that I’ll never be the size of a 16 year old as long as I live. And that’s good… right?
I LOVE… that there are only 86 more days until my birthday. ♥
I LOVE… Pampered Chef!!!! Lauren had a Pampered Chef party last night and I filled out an order form for some wicked awesome kitchenware goodies that I can’t wait to use! Like the egg slicer. And the food chopper. And the green color coated knives. (( Can you NOM cooking utensils? Because I want to…. ))
I LOVE… the Twilight Saga. I finished reading Breaking Dawn (for the second time) last night and it was even better than the first time I read it. Is it sick that I already want to read them again? Right now? I won’t. I’ll wait at least until Breaking Dawn comes out in paperback and I can own it. I’ll wait. But I don’t want to.
I LOVE… owning books. I dislike borrowing books more than I dislike lending them out. (( shudder )) That’s a lot. I like to own them and know they are mine. What if I want to read it again? (( No, I don’t have a library card – in case you were wondering. I haven’t had one since I was 10 years old. ))
I LOVE… GLEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE… going to the movies by myself, especially when the theater is practically empty. It makes the whole movie experience more enjoyable.
I LOVE… when I find a fantastic author, and I want to own all of the books he/she has ever written. And sometimes, with an author like Sarah Dessen, I own all their books and wish they’d write at inhuman speeds (even though I know that’s not how it works) so that I could have more.
I LOVE… writing in my journal. It helps me sort out my thoughts when everything in my head is jumbled (which happens more often than writing). It also helps me figure out how I feel about just about anything, because writing reveals parts of me that I don’t pay attention to.

I miss my Dear Diary blog.
I LOVE… spending as much time with my nephew as I do. I remember being his age and thinking the world of my aunts and uncles, because I was always around them. I’m glad I can be here for John, looking after him, having fun with him, experiencing things with him. It makes me feel like I’m giving him things to look back and smile about, the same way I’ll be able to look back and smile about spending so much time with him.

I LOVE… living with Sarah. She truly is one of my very best friends. We have a closeness that I always wanted with her when I was a kid. I was that annoying little sister that touched every book, Barbie doll (OK, so maybe I massacred her Barbies), and toy she ever owned because I wanted to be just like her. And look at us now. ♥
I LOVE… that Secret Life of the American Teenager is back, Heroes is back, and Lost starts up again in less than a month. Now if only Glee wasn’t on hold until April, things would be almost perfect.

I LOVE… the Twilight series. You should all be happy to know that I picked up New Moon yesterday. Not the copy with the movie characters on the cover, I picked up the original paperback at WalMart – which is what I’ve been wanting.
Happy Friday everybody!
What do YOU love today?

Check out my quick video promoting the awesomeness in which I say ‘rate’ and ‘comment’ quite a bit (but not as much as I could have).
That’s it for today, but I wanted to leave you with this conversation Walter and I had on gchat in early November. Don’t judge me for forgetting about it until today.

Just doing stuff.

December 17 Word or phrase. A word that encapsulates your year. “2009 was _____.”
Awesome sauce.
Today I am…
…knitting a scarf for no one. I’m just knitting for the sake of knitting. And it feels good to do something with my hands while I watch movies and TV shows and whatnot.
…thinking about making a vlog.
…cranky. Cranky cranky cranky.

…in love with Celeste single serving frozen pizzas and I get really excited when they’re 10/$10 at the grocery store.
…actually enjoying being unemployed (I had zero doubts, however) so far.
…working on staying awake on only 4.5 hours of poor sleep.
…really loving the new browser based Heroes of Gaia game on gpotato.com. I’ve been playing it for three days now, and it is awesome sauce for time wasting. At least until I get bored with it… I haven’t had this much fun in a browser based game since Kingdom of Loathing.
…looking forward to tomorrow. I don’t gotta be unemployed to look forward to the weekend!
Any of you waiting to see Eclipse can watch Tom Milsom’s special super awesome version here (BEWARE the uber silliness).

December 10 Album of the year. What’s rocking your world?
Two very awesome albums have rocked my world this year: Hank Green’s This Machine Pwns n00bs and Glee: The Music, Volume 1. I very seriously can not pick one over the other, they are both that good.

I LOVE…Fridays! & #prayersforanissa

I LOVE… snogging my husband. I miss him.
I LOVE… doing I LOVE…Fridays! every week. It’s my favorite blog to write each and every week, except maybe this week my favorite was Trust me. You WANT to read this. (AKA the time I almost killed a man) but I still love my ILF.
I LOVE… writing. It’s the only thing that’s challenging that I actually WANT to do, as opposed to all the times I realize something is challenging and give up (which is always).

I LOVE… Twilight. It’s true. I make no secret of my love for all things Edward Cullen. Going to see New Moon this afternoon with Sarah. It was my least favorite of all the books (because there was practically no Edward!) but the movie looks good. When NaNoWriMo is over I’m going to re-read them.
I LOVE… Edward Cullen. You’ll probably get a lot of that from me in the next few days… SINCE I’M GOING TO SEE NEW MOON.
I LOVE… that John Green likes Twilight. No, Siriusly (<- I love when I do that)… he does. PROOF!!!!
I LOVE… Edward Cullen. What? I said that? Oh, well… I do. I love him.
I LOVE… this song…
I LOVE… the Glee mash-up of Young Girl and Don’t Stand So Close To Me. Mr. Schue totally NAILED it! I have to say that I love all the Glee mash-ups so far. I really look forward to more of them. :D

I totally went all Linky McLinksalot on all y’all today with this great amount of links I’ve posted (and by great I mean ‘large’, not ‘really freaking cool’), but I swear they are all awesome (and by awesome I mean ‘really freaking cool’).
What do YOU love today?
Have you seen/are you going to see New Moon this weekend?

And have you seen the Twilight tattoo craze (crazy?)?
RIDDIKULUS! (<– that’s a Harry Potter play on words, I so funny to myself!)

At least it’s funny.
Hallway Shenanigans
I loved high school. I wasn’t one of those kids that couldn’t wait to get out into the real world. I loved being immersed in the social activity and the learning atmosphere. And the social activity.
The worst thing about high school: gym class. I was picked last or not picked at all, I didn’t want to try at any sport they made us play, and I “forgot” my gym clothes or faked sick all the time. Yeah, I actually failed gym one quarter in the 8th grade… I was that kid.
The best thing about high school: seeing a friend or that guy you like walk past your classroom door and asking the teacher for the bathroom pass ’cause you feel like trying to hunt them down (or stalk them, whichever the situation required of you). You know those times, the ones when you never actually went into the bathroom and just walked a lap or two around the school, maybe stopping at your locker. Twice.
Or better yet? Coordinated bathroom breaks. Meet at my locker at 10:38 if you can get convince your teacher that you have to pee so we can whisper and exchange notes or something equally non-classroomish**!

The hallway during class was the cool place to be. It doesn’t count as part of my Hallway Awkwardness theory, because anyone walking the empty halls at the same time (unless you were bitter enemies) smiled or nodded with that escape from class camaraderie. You know the one.
Reading the Twilight series totally takes me back to high school, because this is what I was thinking about while I was walking down the hall at work a few minutes ago.
**It should be a gramatical rule that adding ‘ish’ (and other such suffixes such as ‘ness’ and ‘age’) to the end of a word automatically makes it a valid word in spellcheck.
Twilight down, next up: Harry Potter!
So… I finished reading Breaking Dawn this week and I am happy to report that I’m quite satisfied with the way it ended. Just like everyone predicted I ended up liking Jacob a lot more in this book (but I’m still 100% Team Edward). I also noticed that Edward was a LOT less creepy. Out of all 4 books, Twilight is definitely my favorite.
Now I’ve gotta see if I can get my little brother to let me borrow his Harry Potter books. Wish me luck!
Alli came over yesterday, for the first time since I moved in here.

It was good to finally hang out with her, even if it was only for like an hour. And John was so happy to see her, he loves his Auntie Alli. She really seemed happy, a lot happier than I’ve seen her in a few years, so I’m proud of her and happy for her. She really needs to be happy. But more than anything she seems to really be getting the hang of adult life. Yay Alli!
In other news, last night Lauren and I went out walking. Yay for having a walking buddy! It was only 43 degrees out, but I totally couldn’t even feel it once we got downtown. And when I got home I felt physically and emotionally awesome. :D I went to bed early (9:30) and listened to my iPod for about half an hour. I have all these podcasts that I download regularly but have never listened to so I listened to one last night. My choice: The Night Air. It’s one of the ones Wil Wheaton posted about in his Podcasts I Love series, I downloaded them to check them out and then never got around to it. You all know how much I love Wil Wheaton, don’t you? *grin*
So all in all it’s been a pretty good week so far. You know, besides the pain in my ear, jaw, and throat. How’s your week going? It’s almost Friday! What are your plans for the weekend?
Prelude to Eclipse
I’m about to start reading Eclipse, and I’m excited.
Last night one of the guys at work asked me how I liked the second book (he’s only read Twilight so far, not New Moon) and I told him it was good enough to read it in less than 12 hours. Good in a different way than Twilight. I noticed that Twilight is a book heavy with sexual tension and desire and in New Moon that undertone is almost completely gone, but there’s also a lot more action and a lot more going on in the second book. So they’re both good.
I’m looking forward to hopefully a lot more more Edward and his family in this third book. Bella kind of annoys me with her constant woe-is-me attitude, but at the same time she reminds me of myself. That can’t be a good thing. *eye roll*
I’m in love with Edward Cullen. It’s true. If he was like a real life guy (you know, minus the vampire part) it would be creepy and he would frighten me with his obsessive stalkerish tendencies, but I’m in love with him as an impossible fictional character. I didn’t really like Jacob all that much in the first book and my dislike of him grew in the second book. Where Edward is mysterious and sexy in his godlike perfection, I immediately related Jacob to an annoying friend who is secretly in love with me and while at first it’s endearing and sweet, it ends up being annoying because he purposefully refuses to get it.
Still haven’t watched the movie. Still not sure I want to. I hear Robert Pattinson does a good job portraying the character’s personality, but he just isn’t as perfect as Edward should be visually. And I think Kristen Stewart’s voice kind of bothers me in the trailers. We’ll see. Sarah will probably force me to watch it with her anyway LOL.
Alright, enough Twilight talk for now. I’ve gotta go get ready for work. Any thoughts on the new theme? I like it a lot better than all the other’s I’ve tried thus far. What do you think? Are you following me on Twitter (@SillyJaime) yet?
