Why yes, he CAN build explosives with a Sharpie and a coffee cup. Don’t question it!
It’s Monday again, the start of a new week, and this week actually feels different. All my days and weeks have felt the same for months now (what with me being unemployed and all) but I know that change is coming and it feels like a good change. It’s a change I’m ready for.
This Friday I’m making my ‘temporary’ move to Mississippi. I’ll be living down there for about a month and a half before Walter and I fly back up to Rhode Island to move all my stuff down (read: the actual move). That will take place sometime in the beginning to middle of May. Before my birthday, which is in 69 days.
My wedding reception will be *fingers crossed* May 9th. I realized afterward that that particular Sunday is Mother’s Day, but it’s really the only weekend I can have it. I think.
I did a lot of shopping at the mall on Saturday, and by a lot of shopping I obviously mean that I bought underwear. Because it’s been too long since I bought underwear. I should have looked into buying new sneakers, but I didn’t think of it. Blast! I suppose Walter can always take me shopping for new sneakers. *shrug* Yesterday I had breakfast with Jean and we went to Walmart and I bought stuff I’d need for the move. Because I like to come prepared, like a good Girl Scout. My old troop leaders would be so proud. I just have a few more things to pick up before I pack my bag, like a pillow and some sunflower seeds.
In other news I’ve been watching Stargate SG1 because all 10 seasons are online. I swear, I half expect Colonel O’Neill to spit out a piece of gum and pull a toothpick and rubber band out of his back pocket to fix whatever problem they’re encountering. He obviously doesn’t do that, but it’s still awesome. I <3 Richard Dean Anderson. It’s almost hard to believe that they came up with enough material for MacGyver to last 7 seasons… but then I remember that he’s MacGyver. He can do anything. DUH!!!

Speaking of MacGyver, I’ma watch some more Stargate now…
How was your weekend????

I LOVE… listening to music. I don’t usually listen to music unless I’m driving, but lately I’ve been turning on my iTunes and leaving the volume on v quiet so that it’s like my life has a soundtrack. Unless I’m watching TV or YouTube videos… then I press pause. But the music is so low that I’m not even aware that it’s there and it doesn’t disrupt my concentration (we all know how hard that is to come by)… but at the same time I’m hearing it. Current music of choice: Classic Rock and Soft Rock. That’s right, baby.
Did you know that the word ‘noise’ actually comes from the Latin word nausea? Did you know ‘nausea’ was Latin? I didn’t. I love Wikipedia.
I LOVE… “window shopping” on The Online, but I don’t like actually purchasing most things online. I’m all about instant gratification when purchasing the bulk of what I shop for. Especially clothes. I hate buying clothes when I haven’t tried them on first. And I just ordered a Natalie Dee t-shirt off The Interwebz, so I hope it fits because I’ll be too lazy to send it back if it doesn’t. And I really like it. So I hope it fits.
I LOVE… LOST!!! But I hate it, too. I love it and I hate it. It’s that good.

Speaking of Lost, I LOVE… The Oceanic Six.
I LOVE… funny TV shows more than any other genre. Friends has been my ultimate favorite show in the history of ever, but now The Big Bang Theory is seriously giving my beloved Friends a run for its monies. The battle will be fierce. Is there room on the top of my favorites list for two shows? We’ll see…
I LOVE… looking through the list of movies on Hulu. Sometimes they have the funniest tags in the descriptions.

Scary toothy monster? Really, Hulu?
I LOVE… getting letters from my husband. I actually keep the last letter he sent me in my purse. We don’t write all the time because we talk on the phone pretty regularly, but there’s something special about getting a letter. I like it.
I LOVE… finding things I’d forgotten about, and that instant feeling of elation that comes along with remembering how important something was to you upon recovering it.
What do YOU love today?
I LOVE…Fridays!

I LOVE… Glee.

I LOVE… singing in my car.
I LOVE… driving at night.
I LOVE… when I can see the moon clearly in the night sky, and it’s not disfigured by clouds.
I LOVE… when I see cool things in the clouds, like the Millennium Falcon.
I LOVE… that Millennium Falcon toy I got in my Taco Bell meal when the Return of the Jedi Special Edition came out. I’ll keep that thing forever.
I LOVE… the original Star Wars movies.

I LOVE… going to the movies. Alone.
I LOVE… that I don’t have to sleep alone forever.
I LOVE… sleeping in a big bed. I’ve been looking at bedroom sets online, getting ideas of what Walter and I can buy when he gets home.
I LOVE… window shopping online.
I LOVE… shopping for anything.
I LOVE… that it’s Friday. Do you see what I just did there? ^^
What do YOU love today?
The Mall {NaBloPoMo 20}
I went to the mall yesterday! Huzzah for shopping!
I love shopping at Providence Place Mall. It feels like it’s mine so much more than the Crystal Mall does. I love the way it feels to walk in, like the possibilities are endless. It feels almost magical, really.
I may have started blogging this on a notepad outside Godiva and gotten caught by Christina as she and Scott were walking up to me (read: I totally did). She may have said “Are you blogging?” (read: first words out of her mouth).
I would like to share an observation with you. It appears that every time we go to the mall, Christina dresses up and I dress down. We must look like a weird pair. Yesterday I actually wore jeans though (I usually wear comfy pants with my large t-shirt). Christina? Always looks cute. Me? Most of the time I look like a hot mess. But ask me if I care. Go ahead.

I'm a hot mess in yesterday's everything!
I only spent money in three stores. And Ben & Jerry’s. I got two really cute hoodies at Aéropostale, a cute dress from NY & Co., and 5 books at Borders. I only spent about TWO hours at Borders. DO YOU KNOW HOW FANTASTIC THAT IS?!!! The only reason I left is because it was getting dark, and I was still carrying all my bags (I usually make a trip to my car to drop everything off before hitting up any bookstore). I didn’t buy ANY movies, and even bought a cute couple of necklaces at NY & Co. They were on sale. :D Plus I only had to pay $7 for parking! This was seriously a red letter shopping day. I didn’t spend half as much as I usually do on merchandise OR parking.
Then I got lost in Providence because the Cityside exit from the parking garage was closed off *FIST* and I had to exit Stateside. Gross! This makes the second time leaving Stateside ever. Third time total getting lost on the way home from the mall.
Let’s not get into that, though.
I would like to say, on my behalf, that for a girl with absolutely NO sense of direction…. I’ve done pretty OK thus far in life. *knock on wood*
How is everyone’s weekend going?
Did you do anything exciting yesterday?
Anything worth noting?
What’s going on today?
Monday Babble
I’m having a hard time deciphering my mood today. I’m irritated, but earlier I was ready to have a good day. The world seemed bright, and now I’m just plain irritated. And what’s more? I want to be in a good mood, which is also irritating. So I’m double irritated and I don’t like it.
Did I mention that I really want to be in a good mood?
My brother turned 18 yesterday. I went to my mom’s for dinner, like I usually do on Sundays, and the poor kid was coming down with something. He had a fever and he felt bodily crappy. What a way to feel on your 18th birthday. I hope he’s not getting The Flu.
Today I don’t have much planned: survive the morning with John, then go to work and survive the work day.
Already today he’s gotten into the cookies without asking. I don’t get it. Some mornings he’s so good, and other days he’s so insolent from breakfast until bedtime. It drives me up the effing wall.
I’m debating whether or not I want to start playing World of Warcraft. I want a new game to play, something I can really get into. I haven’t played WoW in like 3 or 4 years, and I hear it’s changed a lot. So I’m interested. Does anyone here play WoW? There’s a roleplaying server, right? I want to play a game that has an actual RP server. I miss role playing. I miss Illarion, too, but I won’t go back to that. It’s far too different now for me to enjoy it anymore.
I’m looking forward to going to work today. I actually look forward to going to work every Monday. I love the way it feels to go back to the office after a relaxing weekend. And my weekend was pretty relaxing.
I bought some cute shirts at the mall, and two books. I bought some comfy pants and some new underwear, too, since all my underwear laugh at me. OH!!!!! And I didn’t buy ANY movies. NOT ONE. This. is. huge.
And lastly, I’m sick of my page design. I want something more personalized, more me.
Happy Monday, everyone.
S.-A.-T.U.R.-D.A.Y.
Helloooooooooooooooooo bloggers and blogreaders and all of blogland!
I don’t usually blog on Saturdays, but I’m feeling good and I want to share it with the blogosphere!
The sun is shining and it’s a beautiful day!

I’m going shopping today. SHOPPING! With Alli. And possibly Christina who, as of 0830, wasn’t feeling all that good but we’ll see later on.
Alli is hanging out with me today. ALLI. In a public place. It’s going to be so fun!!!!!! Alli and I haven’t hung out in a while (last Friday when I was sick doesn’t count LOL). She’s so much fun. I really can’t wait! I miss hanging out with her. Not living with her. Hanging out with her.
I’m thinking Fire & Ice for lunch. I don’t think she’s ever been there. We’ll see. I can’t remember if, last time she came to the mall with Christina and I, we went to Fire & Ice. She should like it. It’s build your own stir fry. It’s gooooooooood.
Tomorrow is Robert’s 18th birthday.
MY BABY BROTHER IS GOING TO BE 18.

No, I don’t feel old. Far from it! I feel proud. He’s graduating high school, getting his license, and turning 18. And he WANTS to go to college. For business. My baby brother!!!!!

********************
So I’m chilling out in my room (yeah, I said chilling!) listening to country music and singing all loud-like in my incredibly nasaly post-Flu voice. THAT’S how good I feel: I don’t care if anyone hears how terrible I sound. :D
I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!!!!!! ♥
I LOVE…Fridays

I LOVE… drinking chocolate milk first thing in the morning. Mmmmm breakfast.
I LOVE… wearing Walter’s BDU jacket, and also the fact that I’ve had his BDUs for four years now. GO ME!
I LOVE… Walter. What?!! If I don’t say it regularly I think I’ll explode!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE… the excitement of getting to the end of a book, and also the separation anxiety I get when it’s over and I have to put it down. I’m so weird.
I LOVE… grocery shopping. I love the certainty of knowing what I need and then going in and getting it. Hell, I just love shopping altogether. If I’m spending money in a store, I’m probably loving every second of it.
I LOVE… make-your-own-salads at Stop & Shop. I suppose I could just call it the salad bar, but whatever. I love the salads I make there. I make such good salads.
I LOVE… sunny days and weather over 70° (which does not describe today at all, but whatever).
I LOVE… watching old TV shows like I Love Lucy and The Cosby Show.
I LOVE… books. And bookstores. And nice bookshelves. I want to build bookshelves, sturdy ones, and have a library of books in my house! I’m going to buy books this weekend. It’s going to be great (see note above about spending money). :D
Attack Of The Flu
So yeah. Thursday night I didn’t sleep like AT ALL, and yesterday I left work after an hour and a half because I was feeling like complete crud.
I went to Alli’s and we ended up going to the ER ’cause my doctor’s office was closed.
They told me I was dehydrated and had The Flu.
The Flu. In May. In MID-MAY.
LAAAAAAME.
Anyhow, they DIDN’T give me an IV for my dehydration or prescribe me any medication. I had to pay $100 for THAT?
Why is it that there’s no cure for The Flu? Or The Common Cold? They’re like the oldest viral diseases known to man, and there’s no cure.
WTF.
So no mall for me this weekend. What crap. I really wanted to buy some new t-shirts and underwear and books. And Christina is going without me. I’m in hate with The Flu. Like, seriously, in hate. I have to spend my three day weekend in bed. SICK. IN EFFING BED.
Now, excuse me while I go chug some TheraFlu so I can sleep for the next 6 hours.
There weren’t even any new TV shows to watch this week. BLAH.
*groan*
*stomp*
I LOVE…Fridays

I LOVE… that I’m going to the mall with Christina this weekend. We haven’t been shopping in a while, and I’m in dire need of some new books! And girl time!
I LOVE… Atlas Shrugged. Reading it always makes me feel powerful and smart, capable and honest. I wish everyone in a position of power in the world had to read it as a prerequisite.

I LOVE… that I’m going back to Mississippi for a few days in June to spend more time with Walter before he leaves (even if he does have small pox). :D
I LOVE… knitting. I’m going to buy some more yarn this weekend I think, and knit like a fiend.
I LOVE… the smell of fresh cut grass mingled with the scent of spring soil wafting into my car when I see someone mowing their lawn. There’s no candle scent to match it.
I LOVE… collecting silly avatars.

I LOVE… SUNSHINE and SUMMERTIME!
I LOVE… finding things in my cereal box. So what if I’m 26, it’s still really fun!
I LOVE… waking up after a particularly good dream only to fall back asleep and keep dreaming where I left off or to re-dream the same thing. *swoon*
I LOVE… that it’s Friday and I have a three-day weekend ahead of me with nothing planned. I can make stuff up as I go along, and it’ll be awesome!
I LOVE… hugs.

I LOVE… everyone who comments on my blogs. SO LEAVE ME COMMENTS!!! It’s Friday, tell me what YOU love!
