“What If?” Wednesday {NaBloPoMo 30}
If you’d like to submit a “What If?” Wednesdays question you can email me at irishgamergirl [at] gmail [dot] com.
Today’s question:
If you won a million dollars, tax free, right now, what would you do with it?
A Win For Me {NaBloPoMo 29}
When I was working at Cumberland Farms, I had this girl working for me. We’ll call her DB for Dumb Bitch, since I’ve already humiliated her enough that I don’t need to call her out on my blog.
Not that she can read or knows how to use the internet or anything.

Anyway one day I was doing my assistant manager duties counting money and all that while she was ringing up customers next to me. Some guy came in and wanted to get $30 in gas, and he had all ones. I watched as he tossed each one dollar bill on top of the last, counting as he went and making a mountain of messy bills. I stopped DB’s hand as she was reaching for them and smiled at the guy kind of condescendingly. Not that I was sticking up for DB in particular, I was letting this guy know that he didn’t come into my store and treat anyone like that. We don’t clean up your mess, we take your money. Your money should be in some kind of order when we take it. This pile was unacceptable. The exchange went like this:
Me: You’re going to pick those up and hand them to her neatly, right?
Guy: But… but they’re all strategically placed.
Me: But it’s rude.
DB: What’s ’strategically’ mean?
Guy: Are you for real? You don’t know what strategy is?
DB: Um no?
Me: It means he purposefully placed each bill just so, with the intent to make it a mess. He wanted it to look like that.
DB: What do you do, read the dictionary or something?
Me: No. I went to high school.
DB: *silence*
Guy: *snickers and picks up his bills*
Score: Jaime: 469812 / DB: 0

Yeah, I was happy to see her get fired.
28 down, 2 to go… {NaBloPoMo 28}
Walter got in last night. Or, if you want to get technical, wicked early this morning.
You’re not going to be seeing much of me for the next two weeks. My blogs will be few and far between while he’s here (I need to take a little bit of a blogging breather anyway). I’ve got two more blogs coming up, for the next two days, to finish my NaBloPoMo participation, and I’ll probably read a few blogs in my Google reader every now and then. I know I’m going to have a ton to catch up on when I “come back”.
I would just like to say… I loved Grey’s Anatomy. I cried like an effing baby, I don’t understand why so many people picked it apart the way they did. I thought it was good. I also loved Heroes. As always, it was confusing and left me with a thousand new questions without answering any old ones, but it’s a new season so there has to be some new story lines.
Has anyone watched the season premiere of Mercy? It’s good. I love it. It’s got Jack from Men In Trees in it. I <3 him (I miss Men In Trees *sniff*). And FlashForward was pretty awesome, too. I’m in love with TV again! Tonight Lie To Me makes it’s season premiere, so I’ll be watching that later this week. Castle rocked. And Glee, as always, was phenomenal. I also get to watch the season premiere of House this week (shows are available on the web site 8 days after the air date).
I hope everyone starts their week off in a good mood!
Hi. {NaBloPoMo 27}
I spent my day yesterday slowly doing laundry, and watching a bunch of television shows. And a movie. And I ate half a package of cookies.
What?

It’s happening tonight. Walter will be in Rhode Island. His plane comes in at midnight. Can I just tell you that I’m excited beyond belief? I’m so excited, I don’t even know how to show it. He hasn’t been in Rhode Island since May of 2005. And this time? This time he’s here for more than three days, and he’s NOT sleeping on my dad’s couch.
We’re going to Clyde’s. The Boston Museum of Science. Hanging out at the house. Watching movies. Cooking together. It is going to be glorious!
I did zero cleaning yesterday. That means I’ll be cleaning today, Danny Tanner style. Then going shopping because it’s what I do. Then I’m going to my mom’s for dinner because she’s making me pork chops. Then I’m going to sit in my room and wait until I can leave the house. And probably finish off the cookies.

Good Morning, World! {NaBloPoMo 26}
I woke up this morning feeling like I had no cares in the world.

Well, maybe not that great, but at least like a tremendous weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
It is going to be a good day.
I laid in bed for a while, deciding whether or not I wanted to get up or if I wanted to fall back asleep for a few more hours. I settled for laying awake for a while under the warm covers (it’s kinda chilly this morning).
I plan on playing WoW, watching Grey’s Anatomy, doing laundry, catching up on this week’s TV shows, and pretty much just lounging around.
Walter’s flight is supposed to be getting in tomorrow night. SQUEEEEEEE!!! I am OFFICIALLY on vacation!
HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!!!!!
I LOVE…Fridays {NaBloPoMo 25}

I LOVE… that vacation probably starts tonight at 8:01! I might have to work on Monday, but I won’t know until Sunday I think. And even if I have to work Monday, I’ll still be happy……
I LOVE… that once the weekend is over Walter is going to be here. WALTER. IS. GOING. TO. BE. IN. RHODE. ISLAND. I’ll let that sink in for a minute.

V bad excited dancing!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE… that I’ve almost completed another thing on My List with NaBloPoMo.
I LOVE… Nerdfighters! DFTBA!
I LOVE… all the men and women who fight for this country.
I LOVE… my sister Alli. Sometime I’ll tell you the story behind this picture, but I just wanted to show it to everyone today. I love her so much, she’s a real special kind of special. And she’s mine.

I LOVE… the idea I’ve come up with for this year’s NaNoWriMo novel. I’m keeping it a secret, but I’m wicked excited about it! I want to start writing it now, but that would be cheating. And I’m not cheating.
I LOVE… watching the Red Sox win.
I LOVE… that after tonight I’m not going to be driving Mike back and forth from Narragansett to work! I love you, Mike, but I hate that drive every day.
What do YOU love today?
I’m going on a blog vacation next week, if you want to guest post just let me know in the comments or email me at irishgamergirl[at]gmail[dot]com.

Today’s question:
If you could have dinner with any person in history, who would it be and why?
Empty. {NaBloPoMo 22}
Do you ever just feel empty? Like there’s nothing left inside you to write?
When I sat down to write this blog I felt like I had nothing left to say, like I’d said everything and no matter what I share with you I’ll just be repeating myself. It doesn’t feel good, feeling empty of words. It feels really… uncomfortable.
I don’t feel like my life is empty. I feel full in that respect. I’ve got my love, my family, my friends, plenty of things to be happy about, and I am happy. I just don’t understand why I feel like I have nothing to say. It’s bothering me. There’s nothing weighing on my mind. I feel extremely light, like nothing is wrong apart from that I have nothing to say, except for the fact that I have nothing to say. That in itself feels wrong.
Does any of this make any sense?
Argh Matey! {NaBloPoMo 19}
Avast ye scalawags! This be yer Cap’n speakin, an I a come ta tell all a ye out thar that it be Talk Like A Pirate Day! Arrrrrrrrh!

So what’s going on today? Anything good? I’ve got a coloring date with my nephew in a few minutes, and then I’m going to meet Christina at the mall later and do some serious shopping. I’m totally ready! I’m thinking books. A few books, three or four maybe. Some sweaters, possibly some pants, some underwear and some tank tops.
Most of the time that I write in my journal I’m either mad or sad, or I’m some kind of upset anyway. I find that nothing helps make me feel better than writing it out. I explore myself best that way. Sometimes I’m so frustrated that I can’t even sleep, and I have to write for at least 20 minutes before I feel myself relax enough to get to the point where I’m tired enough to fall asleep (I probably have the weirdest dreams those nights).
Last night I dreamt that our house was surrounded by snakes and no one could get in or out. It was just me and Alli home, and my uncle was trying to get to the house but he couldn’t. Needless to say, when I woke up this morning I woke up and got right out of bed (something I rarely ever do).
Sarah and John and I went to Bagels N More for breakfast, so my day is getting better. Shopping will make everything OK.
Happy Saturday, everyone!
What are your plans for the weekend?
I LOVE…Fridays {NaBloPoMo 18}

I LOVE… watching movies in bed.
I LOVE… reading a book so good I get lost in it. I’ll be posting a review of The Help by Kathryn Stockett at the beginning of October, so watch for that.
I LOVE… wearing cute sweaters over casual jeans.

I LOVE… that I’m going to see my dad tonight. I didn’t see him last Friday, and it feels like I haven’t seen him in a month. I don’t like the way that feels.
I LOVE… that when Walter gets here in less than two weeks (!!!!!!!!) I’m taking him out to dinner with Alli, Sarah, my dad, John, and hopefully Robert.
I LOVE… watching John get on the bus in the mornings. He sits down in his seat and looks out the window at me with a big smile. He’s getting to be such a big boy and he knows it.
I LOVE… that Christina asked me to go shopping with her tomorrow. Hello debt, here I come! I need some more books, and some more cute sweaters wouldn’t hurt either. :D You know… nothing really fits me anymore so I have an excuse to buy new clothes!

I LOVE… Christina. I wish she would start blogging again. *hint hint mC!*
