Yowzah!

I just put vinegar on my sister’s back (will my hands smell like vinegar forever?!).  Poor Sarah.  She’s so burned, I’m amazed it’s not blistering at this point.  I feel wicked bad just looking at her.

Remember how burned I got last year?  Let me refresh your memories…

This is the picture I look at when I question why I’m not out in the sun, catching some rays, getting tan.  That, and I remind myself that both my aunt and my grandmother have had skin cancer.  It is possible to learn from the mistakes of others, you know!

Anyway yeah, she’s that red.

Out of respect for her I will not be showing you pictures of her half-naked lobster-red body.

Now I completely forget about what I was going to blog about tonight because Sarah and I are going to watch Dr. Quinn, and I’m too excited to remember anything of substance.  I’m sure there was something, and that it was good.  But I think the vinegar is doing something to my brain.

It smells like vinegar in my house.

Help.

Love,
me

PEE ESS  -  BLOGGER MEETUP IN NYC THIS FRIDAY!!!!!!!!

Excuse me while I go make egg salad and paint my toes in front of the TV watching a half naked tanned mountain man profess his love for Dr. Mike.

Today sucks.

This weekend was fun.  It wasn’t my lazy weekend but I still had a blast.  On Saturday I went with Sarah and John to a summer party that the company she works for throws every year for their employees and their families.  It was cool.

Well, it was hot and humid, but you know.  There was food, lots of kids (I WANT BABIES!), and people just relaxing and having fun.

I got all dolled up, see?

DORK!

DORK!

And of course Sarah and I watched a few episodes of Dr. Quinn.

I find myself wondering what we’ll do when the episodes run out.

No more Sully?  ASDF&@#$?!

On the whole, today pretty much sucks.  I had so much trouble just getting out of bed this morning that I called out of work.  I haven’t been sleeping for about a week now and it’s starting to take it’s toll on me physically.  I feel like I’ve been steamrolled by an 18 wheeler convoy and I’m cranky as all get out.  I end up in that “am I really asleep?” mode where I’m aware that I keep rolling over and moving around, trying to get comfortable, all the while having these semi-dreams that are so lifelike that I’m worried they’re real and I’m living them, and if I do actually happen to fall asleep I wake up a few minutes later feeling like I’ve just been tortured.

I feel so sick and I have a massive headache.

Some good news?  Lauren is coming to the blogger meetup in NYC next month.  And she has her very own blog now.  Go Lauren!

Also I think I’m in internet love with Julia from NonSociety.

PS  ->  I miss Walter.

I LOVE…Fridays (and a little something extra!)

ilovefridaysnew

I LOVE… that Walter had ONE MINUTE left on his calling card, and called me this morning to tell me that he made it in OK and that he loves me.  I don’t just LOVE it.  I’m grateful for it.

I LOVE… sending Walter letters, but not packages too much because the ordeal at the post office is ridiculous just to give someone a birthday present.  Eff customs.  Eff Iraq.  Next year I’m giving him his birthday present in person.  Take that, Iraq.

I LOVE… Mikey Pop.  I miss him when he’s far away in stupid Washington with mountains and Harry Potter but not me.  *pout*  He always makes me feel better when things are bad, and things haven’t been very good lately.

I LOVE… that Jeff is going to DJ my mom’s wedding at the end of the month.  I love Jeff.  I love that I’ve known him for about two years now, maybe two and a half, and he thinks that’s “a long time”.  He so cute.

I LOVE… taking pictures of myself on dailybooth and putting them in my blogs every day.

I LOVE… watching movies with my nephew.  Thomas and the Magic Railroad is a good one.

I LOVE… that last night Sarah and I watched my favorite episode of Dr. Quinn ever, it’s what I call “the Boston episode”.  I was so bouncy on the bed and I had to keep stopping while I was knitting because I was so excited (I KNOW!!!)!  And Sarah wanted to stab me for being too excited and giving stuff away the whole time.  I used to know all the words to this episode, and while I still remembered a lot of ‘em, there’s also a lot of ‘em I forgot (my mom had it on a VHS tape from when it originally aired, and I used to watch it all the time).  I didn’t even know that episode was coming on so soon in the series, I was so excited and surprised!!!!  I’m a dork, shut up.

I LOVE… that I’m a dork.  :D  *waves from high up in the great kingdom of Nerdom*

I LOVE… the way the series finale of Eli Stone ended.  It was so positive, and much better than I expected.  I’m not too happy that it had to end though.  Stupid ABC.

I LOVE… Artisteer 2, the program I recently got for WordPress blog design.**

I LOVE… Dead Like Me.  I recently started watching it, and I think it’s a great TV show.

I LOVE… the dress I’m wearing to my mother’s wedding.  It’s the same dress I wore to Drew’s wedding earlier this year in Mississippi.  It’s yellow and sparkly.

I LOVE… my mom.  I don’t say it much, not on my blog, but I love her (and don’t worry, I tell her so every time I talk to her).  Even though she’s stressful and difficult and the hastiest person I know, I love her because she’s my mom.  And she’s getting married.  And I actually get to go this time instead of getting left behind!

**On Monday my blog will have an entirely new look and feel!  Call it a makeover, if you will, but it’s a necessary makeover.  Now that I have this blog design program I can make my blog look just the way I want it to.  I’ve been struggling with finding just the right layout since PQ gave me my own blog page back in September, and with this program I’ve been able to create it myself!  So come back on Monday to see just what I’ve done to the place.  Oh!  And before I forget… there’s going to be a surprise too!

Happy Friday everyone!  What do you love today?  :D

Eff that I said!

My new favorite thing to do (this week) is put my dailybooth pictures in my blog.

What I REALLY need is a dailybooth feed plugin so that they’re automatically there.  I’m not really a big fan of Flickr, I’m more of a photobucket girl.

And speaking of photobucket, I need to make a new account.  The one I’ve had is at least 4 years old, probably closer to 5, and… the username I use… really isn’t appropriate anymore.  lolz

So how’s everyone doing today?  I’m fabulous, for sure.  I got to talk to Walter this morning.  RIGHT AFTER I posted on FB that I missed him, his call came in.  I was -seriously- squealing and giggling like a 6 year old at a theme park hyped up on cotton candy and chocolate covered coffee beans.

What.

So yeah!  I’m feeling good!  I was feeling good before Walter called, but now I’m feeling freaking awesome!  I was totally going to blog about something earlier, but now in my extremely giddy state I seem to have forgotten what it was.  It might have had something to do with Dr. Quinn, but I’m only slightly leaning that way.  Sarah and I watched it last night after we watched the new episode of Secret Life.

Does anyone here watch Secret Life Of The American Teenager?  Man.  That show is good.  It’s really emotional, but in a ridiculous way, and not ridiculous as in funny either.  I hate having to wait a week to see the next episode.  I think TV is dumb like that.  Commercials and waiting a week for more?  D.U.M.B.

I’m reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin for the first time.  I would just like to say that I am in love with Mr. Darcy.

Has anyone noticed that every time I read a new book I’m in love with a new fictional character?  Anyone?  Bueller?

Well, not with EVERY book.  But with a lot of books.  Does that mean I’m fiction-boy-crazy?  No?  Is that lame?  Yes.

Today is Walter’s brother Jonathan’s birthday.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY JONATHAN!  I was going to make him a birthday card, but I slacked and now it is too late.  I shall simply call him later when I’m sure he isn’t working to wish him a happy birthday and hope that he’s forgotten about the card I told him I’d make him a month ago when I was in MS…

Don’t judge me.

Weekend Recap

My weekend activities consisted of the following:

  • playing WoW
  • finishing Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows
  • watching Dr. Quinn with Sarah
  • dinner at my mom’s
  • eating ice cream (surprised?  :D)
  • hanging out with Alli
  • my nephew being sick

And you know what?  The sun came out today.  It’s out.  Google says SHOWERS ALL DAY! but the sky is saying something very different and I like it (not Google lying, the sun actually coming out).  It’s about 76°, sunny and humid and I’m loving it!

Even though it’s business casual at work today.

So yeah.  I played WoW for most of the day on Saturday.  I got from level 14 to level 20 (go me!).  Poor John was sick all day, feverish and throwing up.  Sarah couldn’t get her computer to connect to the Interwebz so she couldn’t play WoW for most of the day.  But she eventually figured it out.  And John was feeling much better by Sunday morning.

Sarah and I have been watching my Dr. Quinn DVDs, and as we watch I’m remembering parts of every episode.  It’s fun.  There are episodes in the later seasons that I haven’t seen, so I can’t wait to watch those either.

All-in-all I like how Harry Potter ended.  It was a marvelous ending to an incredible story.  I stayed up until 3:30 in the morning Saturday night to finish it, and I must say that I cried about Fred Weasley.  I actually cried twice reading the last book.  There was probably at least one point in each of the last three books that I cried.  I’m in love with the series.  Every book.  I’m sad it’s over, but it ended perfectly.  I can’t wait for Half-Blood Prince to come out in theatres.

And this morning I got to talk to Walter!  So I’m smiling.

How was your weekend?  I hope today starts your work week off in a good way (I’m so weird, I love Mondays)!

I LOVE…Fridays

ilovefridaysnew

I LOVE…  living in Rhode Island.  Don’t judge me!

I LOVE…  all the Harry Potter books.  I’m half way through Deathly Hollows, and I can’t believe it’s so good!

I LOVE…  playing WoW.

I LOVE…  chocolate ice cream.  I could eat it every day!  Oh wait, I pretty much already do…  :D  He he he.

I LOVE…  the burn marks in my front bumper from my major jump start failure.  I’m so proud of them.

I LOVE…  hanging out with Sarah at the end of the day.  She’s so awesome.

I LOVE…  Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman.  And Sully.

I LOVE…  you.  For real.  I’m in such a good mood!!!!
