GIRL! Allie just started 1st grade and she was like “mom, GO, LEAVE, Get out of here!” Do you hear that condescending tone? I just laughed at her and let her go on. They know when they are ready and I’m so sure X would tell you if he needed you. Just know that you have the most independent kid on the block! Go You!!

he is at that age where he wants to feel like a big kid. having him mom walk him to the bus was so last grade! ;0}~
so instead of walking him there, you can be excited to hear all about what he did in school, at the end of the day. that way, he knows you are happy for him, but he still gets to feel like the big kid that he is. love you!!

wow… i wish i could be like that. but i can’t. D is only 5. i do enjoy letting him go in a safe environment.. the beach, the mall… a little. i’m sure your boy is fine.. but if you want to know, maybe you should just ask him?? MOLA, girl!

I think this is funny. Considering my coworker was in late because she had to say good bye to her little girl. She also left early to make see her child come back on the bus.
I find these kind of things weird. My mother never walked me to the bus stop, nor did she ever wait for me to come home. She never drove me to after school functions or sports.
But I think that sometime you will want to be there. I think that X will let you know when something is majorly important. I say just ask. Most boys anyways don’t want mom to follow them around either. They are trying to break the chain just as you are.
See I read what you write.
