Are You In Good Hands? (The Pablo Post)

I spent Sunday morning with tweezers and needle in hand, trying to fish out a piece of glass that was stuck in my foot…but let me back up.

Friday night, I decided that I would stay home and have a couple of drinks. What I didn’t know is that the boys had already made plans to get liquored up…so Bill came home with a BAG OF DRINKS…I was already on my second Rum & Coke when he made me my first Appletini ever…yummy…and gave me a sample of his drink…A lot of liquor was consumed and I had a very fun night…We ended up watching Dawn of the Dead…According to my tweets and text messages I sent, I cannot type for shit when I’m wasted. Go figure!

Saturday morning, C-Pants, Tim & I took Marley to the dog park…It was the perfect day for it…and we all ended up in the water. Dogs are fucking awesome…and so adorable to watch when they’re swimming and playing!! Our friend Leah & her hubby joined us with their two dogs…and then we grabbed some lunch. All in all, it was a great morning/afternoon. When we got home, C-Pants & I did a little cleaning…and then got ready for our first girl-date!

We headed out to Dupont…looking gorgeous…And went to Lucky Bar before the show to meet up with Alice, Dysfunction Junction, Rachel, Katy and others…We left just as LiLu & Maxie were getting there…and I missed Cavy AGAIN!! Grrr…

We went to the Improv around 10 to make sure that we had plenty of time to get our seats…When we were in line, we saw Pablo just bolt out of the Improv and we are pretty sure he went to Camelot for a lap dance between sets…

After we got our table, we went to the bathroom…Our friendship went to a whole new level when we decided that instead of both of us waiting in line for our turns to go pee, we both went into the bathroom together and took turns peeing…

“I bet people will think we’re doing coke”

We were giggling so much I’m pretty sure they did…We came out sort of sniffling…

We headed inside and found out that we had the ONLY two people table in the entire room…I felt so happy…the way that the tables at the DC Improv is set up is it’s 4 people to each table…Two in the back, two in the front…We didn’t have to deal with two chairs blocking our view…

The show? Oh.my.god. The two guys that opened for him were GREAT as was the emcee…But Pablo?

EPIC.

Fucking EPIC.

I was laughing the ENTIRE TIME…my jaw actually started hurting at some point but I couldn’t stop laughing…literally…It was AMAZING. I’d go see him live again ANYtime!

So C-Pants and I left with everyone and we were standing around, with me trying to figure out if Alice and the gang were still at Lucky or if they had migrated over to Camelot…and then I had to pee so we went back downstairs…and fucking Pablo was there taking pix with people! So what’d I do?

He’s so fucking adorable!

After taking my picture, then peeing, C-Pants and I were going to head over to Lucky Bar but then I saw someone I hadn’t seen in YEARS…I walked past her…and then thought “What the hell?”…so C-Pants and I went up to her…I hadn’t seen this chick since high school! We caught up and exchanged numbers…It was great to see her! Afterward, we walked over to Lucky Bar just as Maxie, LiLu, Alice & Dysfunction were getting ready to leave…C-Pants and I felt like dancing so we decided to stay instead of head over to Camelot with them. It.was.amazing. I have been dying to go dancing…DYING. We danced for a bit then headed upstairs to grab a couple of drinks…Did our famous SoCo with Lime shots and then had a fantastic conversation…drank a little more and headed back down to the dance floor…My heels were slipping so I was basically barefoot for the rest of the time we were there. I have had Tainted Love stuck in my head all weekend and the DJ also played “I’M ON A BOAT!”

I got the glasses stuck in my feet when we went outside so C-Pants could grab a smoke…while we were standing there, we met a dude named Forrest. No joke. I was able to get the glass out of my left foot when we were still there but the one that was in my right foot was pretty deep…So we headed back home…and when we got to our street, Everything is Everything was still playing…so we actually danced in the street for about 45 seconds until the song ended.

Perfect end to an incredible night.

How much do I love my C-Pants?

A lot lot.
