My Fall Line-Up
by PrincessQ on 2008/09/08
Well, it’s that time of year again when I have my DVR work overtime with all the fall premiers and the episodes that have me racing to go home every night to watch my shows. As usual, I will probably be doing my “Tuesday Morning Wrap-Up” after Heroes & Prison Break but we’ll see how things go.
Returning Favorites:
Prison Break: The new season actually premiered last week with 2 hours of action packed scenes and of course, new threats as well as “old” information resurfacing. Can the Company be brought down this season? The most memorable scene of the first two hours had to be when Scofield was getting his tattoos lasered off. Of course, Sara is back… (Monday nights on Fox, 9 PM)
Heroes Villains: This is definitely my favorite show out of them ALL. Last season ended so painfully, with Nathan shot before he could tell the truth. What will happen now?! The show premiers on September 22 at 8 PM on NBC.
House: Speaking of Heroes, this sarcastic, smart-ass doctor had a tough break at the end of last season. If you remember, the season ended with a bus crash which cost the life of Amber, Wilson’s girlfriend. Seeing House in pain for his best friend was definitely a powerful way to end the season. This fall, we’ll see how the dynamic between House & Wilson play out while House goes on his own special way of solving cases. The new season premiers on Fox on September 16 at 8 PM. For House fans that just can’t get enough, older episodes are now on the USA Network every weeknight at 8 PM.
Life: One of my favorite new shows last year was Life and I am so glad that they are bringing it back! After serving time for a crime he didn’t commit, Detective Charlie Crews gets a cool reception from his new police partner and their toughminded boss. Constance is the attorney who finally manages to get Charlie sprung from prison, while Ted is Charlie’s former cellmate. Damian Lewis plays an EXCELLENT Charlie. He’s quirky & he reminds me of a mild mannered House. The show premiers Monday September 29 at 10 PM on NBC.

Grey’s Anatomy: Well, this show speaks to my “feminine” side so it’s a must watch every week. Last season ended with Meredith finally reuniting with Derek. Will they last? Show premiers September 25 at 9 PM on ABC.
Private Practice: A spin-off from Grey’s Anatomy that I liked but it’s not a MUST watch every week. Addison has found her “groove” in sunny LA after leaving Derek, Meredith and the rest of Seattle Grace behind. The new season premiers on October 1st at 9 PM on ABC.
Ugly Betty: Will she move to Tucson with Henry or go to Rome with Gio? I’m rooting for Rome. Season premier is on September 25th at 8 PM on ABC.
Eureka: OK, so this isn’t a Primetime show but I stumbled upon it during a bored weekend in the summer. It is on the sci-fi channel and the new season started already. If you’re looking for something different, then I suggest checking it out. I do have a soft spot for the main character, Sheriff Carter. The show is on the Sci-Fi Channel on Tuesdays at 9 PM.

Other shows that I might watch:
Usually I don’t watch a lot of TV and reserve my time for the shows above. There are occasions where I’ll flip to another show…Two & A Half Men is definitely one of them along with the Big Bang Theory and Deal or No Deal.

none — no fall line up. i officially hate tv since my parents left me to grow up watching it home alone pretty much every night. i watch ESPN, some baseball (Red Sox on tonight), and movies. i haven’t seen a network TV program in a long time.
i am, however, reading like six books, and i’m starting back on the novel tonight!

I love Prison Break and Heroes too.
I’m also looking forward to Dexter, Criminal Minds, and The Terminator. True Blood on HBO started last night, and it’s really good. It’s about vampires.

I can’t wait to see what you do with the novel!

Actually it’s based on a series of books you would probably like. By Charlaine Harris. It’s set in Louisiana, and vampires are a legal minority.

And Eli Stone. How could I forget that one? I’m stupid.
I’m as excited about Eli Stone as I am about Heroes. And that’s wicked excited.

I’m interested in watching HEROES again and LOST has always been my #1 favorite.
Then follows NCIS, CSI, and Survivor. That pretty much sums it up for now at least b/c I’m sure I’m leaving some out that I can’t remember.

I used to watch my sitcoms religiously…now I don’t have time to even keep up with when they’re on. And no, TiVo isn’t an option around my house, hell we even got rid of the dial up internet! Grrrrrrrrr.
My Monday shows I have to read recaps for since I’m stuck in school till 10PM: The Hills & Gossip Girl
Tuesday…I didn’t even know what’s on but now that I know I’ll have to make time for my Dr.
Wednesday…no more LOST for me. School.
Thursday…I will have to make an exeption and let the kids play their handhelds for awhile bcs I don’t want to miss Grey’s or Ugly Betty!
Ok, I guess that’s enough TV for one week, right?
